France, Rhone Red, 2018. This beautiful Bandol has an intense cherry red colour with a purple glow.
On the nose there are hints of thyme, rosemary and dark fruits (blackberry, cherry).
On the palate, this wine offers great complexity and a velvety texture. Nice strong tannins and a relatively low acidity. Tempier wines are extremely scarce and invariably receive high ratings.
The wine consists of 75% Mourvèdre, 15% Grenache, 9% Cinsault 1% Carignan. We recommend a couple of hours decanting prior to drinking.
This wine is ideal with meat and game dishes.
