France, Bordeaux Red. Vintage: 2012. Just west of Pomerol in the Canon Fronsac appellation sits Chateau Vrai Canon Bouche. A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, it's a wine with an earthy, black cherry nose and a fleshy, dark cherry finish.
It's highly enjoyable to drink, with a soft, black raspberry, liquorice and earthy profile. It has reached it's peak due to its age and definitely one to be consumed this year.
Perfect with red meats and truffles. A bargain at its price point!
