France, Rhone Red. Vintage: 2019. The domain high above the Rhône Valley founded by Yann Menager and comprises only 5.5 hectares of vineyards spread across Côte Rotie, Condrieu and Saint-Joseph.
The Syrah vines for Saint-Joseph grow on granite soil on the Les Vessettes site. Very complex and mineral on the nose: dark fruit, granite, smoked meat and pepper. Soft tannins and a pleasant acidity on the palate. Profound and complex, but still fresh and accessible.
