Italy, Tuscany. Vintage: 2022. Gabriele Buondonno and Valeria Sodan produce this wonderful Chianti Classico Casavecchia alla Piazza. It is obtained from selected Sangiovese grapes from the Casavecchia, Sicelle and Sicellino vineyards and is strongly expressive of the territory from which it originates.
Aged in oak for ten months, it is medium bodied with, flavours and aromas of ripe red berries with notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, black pepper and vanilla. It blends perfectly with ever gentle tannins.
